PAN update

In good faith, PAN informed (June 2002) many pagan groups, websites etc about the Libel
committed by Ex-PF president Peter Jennings against the SAFF. We also warned Essex Pagans
about serious missionary infiltration linked to their pagan website. We received a
great deal of positive feedback about these disconcerting situations from enlightened
occultists yet the Essex Pagan mob treated us to a type of immature contempt that
defies logic and shows what a bad state of repair 'certain' sections of modern paganism
are actually in.
Below we print extracts of the dialogue which ensued between the
Essex Pagans and PAN.

At this point rather than thanking PAN for bringing such vital issues to their attention
the Essex pagans launched into piles of slush, gossip and the usual useless tittle tattle
until (almost two years later) one loudmouth hiding under the pseudonym of 'Art the Bard'
took it upon himself to boldly repeat old PF-based untruths and blabber off
unfounded obscenities PAN has come to expect from such infantile
egos with no place to go. His blatant disregard for the truth and his support
for "Pete" (Jennings) and the "PF" shows
clearly just WHERE his 'loyalties' lie in all this!

You know this thread still bothers, there is this dude out there that got kicked
out of the PF for being a dick and got all huffy and has had it in for
Pete and the PF every since. But what really annoys me is that on his website
he says that "Essex Pagans freely advertise... the Alpha Course" I say, point us to this advert we are displaying or take down
that page. Either that or I psychically fart in your direction.

Art's annoying bowel problems may cause him discomfort but they are of no concern to PAN.
However, truth is truth and we felt that we should briefly address his mentions of
ALPHA & also his chum Pete Jennings' libel situation against SAFF & its founder Chris Bray.

"Still bothers" hey? This is not surprising at all. Concerning Pete Jennings. As far as we are aware, Mr Jennings is currently being sued for publishing
untrue and highly defamatory allegations, PAN is therefore legally prevented
from commenting on the ongoing situation. Regarding ALPHA and the Essex site. Changing the content of a site to suit one's agenda is very common. This is
evidence of such antics yet please rest assured, we have printed out all relevant data.

Anyways, what I was asking for was for you to actually prove what you have claimed
and inferred on your website. I object to the way you have written and what you infer in several of your
articles, and I am annoyed about the fact that when type in "Essex Pagans" into
google the third link on the list is your website about some bishop that don't
like pagans, it's pretty much a given isn't it? Who cares? Your reply (and I am so glad you did reply) was a thinly veiled legal threat,
am I right? Are you going to sue me for calling you a dick? Or better still,
I would love to feature on one of your pages. It is only an assumption that
you are a dick, I've never met ya. What I would like to know of course is do you really think that there is
an alpha course infiltration into the Chelmsford Moot? I believe that the information on your website is out of date and misleading.
Don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself, google Chelmsford Pagan
Moot, and you will see that the only publicity that is associated with the
Alpha course is your website, so who is doing the "evil x'tain fundies"

NB. At this point PAN was not given a fair right to reply (which is a typical dictatorial
PF-style tactic used to stifle dissent) and instead the so-called 'Administrator' of this
Essex website took it upon herself to resort to the usual puerile obscenities we have come
to expect from such plastic pagans who have been caught wanting, which of
course speak volumes.
Obviously PAN was getting too close to the truth for comfort ergo she killed off
the thread 'before' we could expose their blatant inadequacies any further.
We leave the Essex Pagan's hate-filled obscenities and spelling errors intact as
we found them.

Because we could not debate in public with these self-seeking and highly abusive
censors we decided to write to them via their personal Essex Pagan website emails to
try once again to make them listen to sense. We won't hold our breath about their
possible response which, if judging from the above, possibly will be more suited
to the walls of a 'public lavatory' than in any informative forum for pagan debate.
One half decent question was in fact posed by Art when he asked PAN:

Private Message to 'Art the Bard' from PAN.
Dear Art the Bard
I write regarding your recent comments against PAN/SAFF on the Essex Pagan site.
There WAS a link with the Alpha Xtian missionary group on the site in question.
For your site to be carrying such a link in fact strongly indicates that there is
a Christo-pagan interfaith activist ‘within’ your midst. As most educated fundie
agitators are more knowledgeable and clued in about occultism than many of the
people at numerous pagan moots, there's no way that most ordinary pagans would
know the difference.
Our data proves that when ordinary pagans get targeted by these well-financed and
well supported church crusaders they frequently get kicked out of their flat, get
kicked out of their job, are hounded by the local gutter press and are on the
streets with the box people. When these events occur they can’t say that PAN/SAFF
didn't warn them. THIS DOES SADLY HAPPEN.
What you people do with the info PAN/SAFF (given out freely) is your business
and up to you.
We will however keep warning genuine occultists so they can be aware of
the dangers. Those that fail to listen can of course keep massaging their
egos on the net by pretending to others, equally as dim, that they are
clued in when in fact the reverse is clearly the case...

What hope is there for the genuine current of contemporary paganism with
pushovers such as this at the tiller? What sort of message are they sending
out into a world that still believes in Satanic Ritual Child Abuse?
After seeing just how unworthy, dictatorial and wholly self-centred these people
really are there can be no doubt that they are serving nobody but 'themselves'.
PAN has unfortunately been dealing with similar out-of-touch and
egotistical stylists that have done absolutely 'nothing' for paganism and in fact
worked against its best interests via ignorance, vanity
and naivety for years.
Essex Pagan forum may alter their current data on their site to suit their own odd
agenda yet PAN has of course saved details of all relevant pages for our files.
Will they ever get with it and start to listen?
We 'can' only warn others - the rest is up to them!
