The Fundie Fifth Column
Do modern Pagans 'really' know what they are messing with?
For years PAN & SAFF have been freely warning the Pagan community in good faith about how clever evangelists in search of converts have infiltrated the soft underbelly of UK occultism, via interfaith strategies. For our troubles we have received huge amounts of abuse from plastic Pagans who have in fact never quite managed to free themselves from the thrall of their monotheistic upbringing. We have stated many times that interfaith liaison with tolerant faiths is a fine thing yet 'not' with clandestine missionaries that provably want to infiltrate Pagan interfaith circles to subvert the Old Religion for their sectarian ends.
PAN now has extensive evidence that smiling fundamentalists who pretend to want to work with Pagans and even combat the SRAM are simply just old time missionaries, under a new guise, with all the worrying links to SRAM-promoting groups such as Reachout Trust.
For instance, let us consider the missionary outreach to Paganism known as Ex-witch. Kathi Sharpe (Ex-witch leader) has written at length to PAN about how she and her group wish to oppose SRAM and be best friends with occultists, yet we have absolutely no qualms in alerting the Pagan community about Ex-witch who we now fully believe is nothing but a breeding ground for more of the same type of intolerance that spread SRAM-like wildfire throughout the United States, the UK and everywhere else.
Sharpe tried hard and failed to convince us of her own real commitment to her own Xtian faith. She sought over many lengthy email messages to persuade PAN that she wanted to distance herself and her group from outfits such as Reachout that believe in SRAM. None of this washes with us because Ex-witch is intimately linked to countless fundamentalist organisations that have a vested interest in discrediting ALL New Age beliefs by any means possible. Furthermore, they are theocratically-bound to find a satanic adversary to uphold their own bogus cosmology and no amount of spiritual soft soap will ever change this home truth!
Consider the fundamentalist links to Ex-witch below:
This is how Ex-witch links to Reachout Trust, via Spotlight Ministries (which is a fundie outfit 'run' by a director of RT):
Refuge Ministries have links to Spotlight ministries
Christian Answers for the New Age has links to Spotlight
Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry have links to Spotlight ministries
For the Love of a Goth. This lot is apparently run by the same RT director who runs Spotlight Ministries and currently still on Ex-witch site links page.
Incidentally, the chap who runs Refuge Ministries, one Jeff Harshbarger, has regularly contributed to the RT forum. In one instance, like a good little fundie, he even calls up the dogs via starting a thread by linking to a so-called satanic murder.

What nice company Ex-witch keep with such concerned Xtian soldiers that wind up Reachout activists so easily. BTW, this particular link has interestingly now been apparently 'removed' yet we of course always hold such info for future reference.
All of the above organisations share the same highly fundamentalist belief that Paganism/occultism is wrong, 'evil' in fact, and only their exclusive sacred worldview is acceptable and proper. All share the belief that only with their Jesus Christ figurehead can there be salvation and future happiness. All believe that they have a holy Christian duty to convert others (especially of course naive, lost Pagans) to their bright ideas about spiritual righteousness.
Many more links can be mentioned that prove the Ex-witch mob to be a real threat to all occultists, everywhere. The proof is overwhelming,
Ex-witch (and their highly anti-occultist companions) are the new Fundie Fifth Column that are cashing in on the type of gross ignorance promoted by the Pagan Federation's ludicrous policies on interfaith. Ex-witch and Co believe that 'your' Pagan faith is counterfeit, evil and that Satanic Abuse is a reality. Yes of course this seems hard to comprehend when faced with a friendly, smiling face and amicable out-stretched hand that offers understanding and the prospect of personal salvation etc but the old maxim reminds us to beware the wolf in sheep's clothing or suffer the consequences at our cost!
Disclaimer:
PAN realises that the vast majority of Christians are not fundamentalist or evangelical in make up and we only criticise religious extremists who seek to disenfranchise other faiths whilst bolstering their own. PAN does not in any way condone violence against any persons or property and we must state that we have always worked towards a more tolerant and equal society.
