ARE PF LEADERS CLOSET CHRISTIANS POSING AS PAGANS?

Through hard, often thankless work monitoring the fundie-machine, PAN and the SAFF have for years prevented total Xtian suppression of the Old-Religions. Our efforts continue behind the scenes for the benefit of all.
We make no apology for shouting out loud and clear about the dangers of Christo/Pagan Interfaith for Pagans. We furthermore make no apology for opposing ridiculous Pagan Federation leadership's policies herein. Any callow individual who disagrees with PAN's expedient stance should seriously consider the vital following points.
In their blatant naivety, the PF leaders seem to actually believe that they can successfully liaise with the governing theocratical regime in this country. They seems to think that all is well and that they need only open the doors of friendship to the legions of Xtian fundamentalism and everything will turn out just rosy. SORRY PF YOU WERE WRONG AND YOU STILL ARE! Your wacky policies on C/P Interfaith are putting your trusting membership at dire risk. There are numerous reasons for this. PAN has (as most Pagans now know) absolutely tons of data to substantiate this fact. The most recent evidence to prove how out of touch with reality the PF dictatorship actually is, comes from the CHURCH OF ENGLAND itself.
In his special report for the Church of England newspaper, Richard Thomas (Communications officer of the Diocese of Oxford and member of the institute of Public Relations) states the following. "It is not 'New Age' that is the issue for Christians, even if it is the most visible fringe of the new Paganism. It is the rapid growth of a more coherent Paganism that is the issue."
Thomas goes on to mention that Christians find Pagan beliefs and practices in "DIRECT CONFLICT" with Christian/Biblical teachings. He continues by stating that there is a great deal of room for Christians to enter into "DIALOGUE" with Pagans on an individual and group level. THIS IS OBVIOUS MISSIONARY DOUBLE-TALK! Prior to these (C/P Interfaith promoting) comments he complements the PF on being a Pagan equivalent of the "EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE."
If this were meant to say that the PF were acting like a bunch of rampant tyrants who refuse to listen to common sense then we would agree with him in full! Now this C of E article might not appear too disconcerting to many folk, however at the bottom of the page was an addendum for readers who require more information about Paganism. Now WHO do you think is recommended by the C of E to give this essential advise on our beliefs? The answer is the Evangelical Alliance (with their Doorways to Danger sheet on occult perils) and also none other than the highly anti-occultist, REACHOUT TRUST.
IF THE PF LEADERSHIP LIAISE WITH THOMAS ETC THEY INSTANTLY OPEN PAGANISM UP TO INTERFERENCE FROM REACHOUT (THE ULTIMATE SATAN-HUNTING OUTFIT.) WILL THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS OR SIMPLY SOD-OFF WHEN THE DAMAGE IS DONE? NOW IF THIS DOESN'T PROVE THAT THE PF LEADERSHIP ARE EITHER TOTAL NEW-AGE GOOFBALLS OR CLANDESTINE CHRISTIANS THEN WHAT DOES?
If this isn't enough to convince readers of PF leadership stupidity then how about this.......
Leading Evangelical, Tony Higton who has been campaigning against Homosexuality for the past ten years has now changed direction. He is now majoring in what he calls: "DIALOGUING WITH NEW AGERS." He has already been congratulated by other Xtian movers on his new MISSION TO CONVERT PAGANS TO CHRIST. The C of E opinion column actually said the following: "Mr Higton's ideas are interesting and original and if they succeed in turning New Agers in the direction of Christ then he will have done the Church an important service." Higton is well known for his anti-occultist stance. Ask yourself sincerely, do YOU think it's a good idea for the PF to work with such hardliners?
The PF leaders appear to! If this isn't the height of arrogant/dangerous foolishness then what is? PAN can (as usual) only warn, the rest is up to YOU! Incidentally, speaking of Gay suppression, C.A.R.E the massive evangelical body has recently thanked its members for sending THOUSANDS of letters to MPs and the Prime Minister etc in opposition to proposed Gay-Equality. Human rights issues in this country are often settled insidiously by the vocal Xtian minority behind the scenes (i.e. think of fervently anti-Pagan Lords like David Alton who have self-admittedly liaised with REACHOUT activists and you get the picture here.) Furthermore, CARE has recently mounted a major campaign against HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS and is gaining much ground in secular society as a nice, caring organisation. CARE's forthcoming prayer sheet offers little consolation for the cock-eyed Pagan Interfaith bunnies either:
"Lord we plead for people who appear to be hopelessly ensnared in satanism and witchcraft." (CARE-October 98.)
Sure beats us how the PF's Closet Christian leadership (who are unfortunately trusted by many good people in the PF) will explain this lot away! Would YOU trust the Old-Religions in the hands of these befuddled twits? You may as well play Hop-Scotch on the M6 with your eyes shut! By the way, PAN has stated on many occasions that Interfaith for Pagans with TOLERANT RELIGIONS is a GOOD IDEA. Our beef is with ABSOLUTIST (fundie) doctrines promoting TOTALITARIAN PHILOSOPHIES. This point is extremely important and must be repeated to avoid any confusion.
PAN, SAFF and the newly- founded COMHAIRLI CAIRDE oppose PF C/P Interfaith policy. We possess a plethora of evidence to validate our claims. Furthermore, historical data supports our stance. Alternatively, the PF dictatorship can never change Xtian anti-occultist/Pagan dogma ergo their stupid, media-friendly attempts to do so will always be dangerously fruitless.
DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU. IF YOU DON'T THINK FOR YOURSELF THEN THEY'LL DO IT FOR YOU!

Disclaimer:
PAN realises that the vast majority of Christians are not fundamentalist or evangelical in make up and we only criticise religious extremists who seek to disenfranchise other faiths whilst bolstering their own. PAN does not in any way condone violence against any persons or property and we must state that we have always worked towards a more tolerant and equal society.
